Who we are and what we do

B.R. Sankeerth

Founder & Head Coach

  • Career highWorld No. 73
  • InternationalTeam Canada
  • National champion

This sport gave me a lot, and I built The Badminton Project to hand some of that down.

Bio

Born and raised in Bangalore, India, Sankeerth came up through the Indian Junior National Team and competed at the World Junior Championships. He has represented Team Canada since 2019 on the sport’s biggest stages — the World Championships and World Team Championships, including the Thomas Cup and Sudirman Cup, along with multiple Pan Am Championships in both team and individual events, earning international wins and medals along the way.

Across two Olympic cycles, he spent 42 to 45 weeks a year on the international circuit, competing worldwide in pursuit of qualification for the 2020 Tokyo and 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Eesan Holtzman

Co-Founder & Coach

  • Men’s doublesCanadian No. 4
  • World rankingBWF No. 273
  • CertificationNCCP Level 3

No player I coach should ever have to relearn their strokes and swings because they weren’t taught properly the first time.

Bio

Eesan is currently ranked Men’s Doubles Canadian #4 and BWF #273, an NCCP Level 3 certified coach, and a McMaster Varsity athlete with Super 300 experience at the Canada Open and US Open, reaching the Round of 16 at the 2024 Canadian International Challenge.

That matters because he’s living the path your child is on right now — not recalling it from years ago. Eesan brings current, high-level competitive instincts to every session, paired with the structure and standards of Sankeerth’s program.
