Who We Are

The people behindthe Project.

The Badminton Project exists to give kids and teens genuine coaching and competitive development — the kind that’s planned, purposeful, and taken seriously every session.

Who We Are

Every young athlete begins as a project.

We develop young athletes deliberately: beginners learning the game the right way from day one, developing players finding their competitive edge, and committed juniors chasing the top of the sport.

Whatever the level, every child gets the same thing — a real coach, a real plan, and real standards.

Progress here is earned step by step. That’s not a limitation. That’s the promise — and it’s why our athletes actually improve.

Our goal is simple: to create the best conditions for every young athlete to reach their full athletic development and personal potential.

The Badminton Project

What We Stand For

Three things we hold to.

  • Excellence

Real standards in every session, for every age and level. A beginner’s class is coached as seriously as a competitive squad. The bar doesn’t move.

  • Development

Young athletes are built, not found. Every session is one deliberate step in a longer plan — and we can show you where your child is on it.

  • Community

Kids train harder when they belong somewhere. We build a group your child wants to show up for, alongside coaches who know their name and their game.

The Coaches

Meet your coaches.

The Project is led by two coaches — one who competed at the top of the world game, and one still competing at the top of the Canadian one.

B.R. Sankeerth

Founder & Head Coach

Your child will be coached by someone who has actually been there. Sankeerth is a career-high World No. 73, a Team Canada representative since 2019, and a three-time national champion — and he brings the standards of elite competition to every young athlete he develops.

  • Career-high World Ranking No. 73
  • 3× National Champion
  • Team Canada since 2019
